CentOS 7 LEMP Stack available for VirtualBox and VMware

The CentOS Project is a community-driven free software effort focused around the goal of providing a rich base platform for open source communities to build upon. The CentOS team provide a development framework for cloud providers, the hosting community, and scientific data processing, as a few examples. They work with several ‘upstream’ communities to help them layer and distribute their software more effectively on a platform they can rely on.

Release announcement of CentOS 7:We would like to announce the general availability of CentOS 7 for 64-bit x86 compatible machines. This is the first release for CentOS 7 and is version marked as 7.0-1406. Since the upstream EL7 release, there have been some updates released – these have been built and are being pushed to the CentOS mirror network at the moment. They will be available within the next 24 hrs. From this point on we will aim to deliver all updates within 24 to 48 hours of upstream releases. For the first time, this release was built from sources hosted at git.centos.org.

LEMP stack is nothing but a group of open source softwares combined together to make a webserver . The acronym stands for Linux, nginx (pronounced Engine x), MySQL, and PHP.

We installed CentOS 7 LEMP in VirtualBox & Vmware and packed for you. You can download images for VirtualBox & VMware from here.
