Fedora 42 and Server VM Images Available for VirtualBox and VMware
Fedora team released the latest stable version in April 2025, ‘Fedora 42’ Redhat sponsored Linux distribution: “Seventy-five thousand generations ago, our ancestors set a vast computer in motion, asking it to produce the ultimate Linux distribution. No, wait. It wasn’t quite that long ago. That was a different thing. But in both, the answer to life, the universe, and everything turns out to be: forty-two. In our case, Fedora Linux 42, which is now officially released. Fedora 42 Workstation Edition now has a new installer user interface, based on Patternfly. Anaconda is now a native Wayland application. Anaconda now defaults to using a GUID Partition Table (GPT) instead of a Master Boot Record (MBR) as the partition table (disklabel) on all architectures.
