Ubuntu Cinnamon project announced the latest version of Ubuntu Cinnamon codenamed 25.04 Plucky Puffin: “I’m excited to share our latest release, the Ubuntu Cinnamon 25.04 Plucky Puffin has been released! It comes with Cinnamon 6.4.8 and features bug fixes, new features and improvements to the user interface. he 25.04 Plucky Puffin release uses Cinnamon 6.4.8. Ubuntu Unity project announced the latest version of Ubuntu Unity codenamed 25.04 Plucky Puffin “Ubuntu Unity 25.04 ‘Plucky Puffin’ has now been released. A bug affecting Ubuntu Unity, Kubuntu and Lubuntu was discovered a few hours prior to the release wherein manual partitioning installs on BIOS systems result in unbootable installations. As it could not be fixed in time for the release, we recommend that you do not attempt a manual partitioning install if your computer only has a BIOS. Upgrades from Ubuntu Unity 24.10 will usually be enabled within a few weeks of the release, upon which you should receive a notification prompting you to upgrade to 25.04.
