Gentoo KDE Plasma 201703 Images Released For VirtualBox and VMware

Gentoo project announced the latest version of Gentoo Linux in January, 2017, with many popular up-to-date applications, so now we are presenting you the most recent build Gentoo 201703 for VirtualBox and VMware. There is no announcement found on Gentoo’s website but for sure there are whole lot of new packages and bugs fixes in this release.
We built two versions of Gentoo 201703 one is minimal where you only get CLI (command line interface) and choose whatever desktop you want to install or keep using CLI, it is available for both architectures 32bit and 64bit. The second version of Gentoo 201703 have stable KDE Plasma desktop installed, this version is only available for 32bit and 64bit architecture.

    I’ve installed this image, and there isn’t any way to install extra software, also the terminal isn’t available

    I agree with gepd. There seems to be minimal apps installed in the latest Gentoo release which is surprising as its over 12GB in size once decompressed. There is no browser, no terminal and no way to install guest additions to enable full screen mode!
